Choosing a therapist for any reason is a big step in the
process of restoring or recreating our lives toward a better future.
Psychotherapy is one venue in finding our way through the process. Finding the
right therapist is the key for success in therapy. The right therapist for
any one person is a rather subjective experience and may take more than one
attempt to find the right one. Psychotherapy is also about a good connection
between the patient and the therapist. Asking questions is always a good idea
prior or during the first session to gain useful information on the potential
match of the patient to the therapist qualifications and modality, style and
specializations.
